Membership is responsible for increasing growth and retention of the Club. This committee also is responsible for introducing the club to potential new members who have an interest in the advertising industry. The committees duties include collecting dues, sending membership packets, keeping accurate membership records, maintains databases, organizing a prospective membership action plan and developing campaigns and events to spark interest in membership in Ad Pros. Programs coordinates all speaker and programming details including meeting notices. From presentations of new products and equipment, to self-improvement and innovative marketing techniques, the Programs Committee offers Ad Pros members and the general public meaningful and timely information from interesting and proactive speakers, as well as a chance to gain valuable industry contacts. P33 Student Event provides educational advertising programs and events not only for area college students, but also for local advertising professionals and those interested in advertising. Through a day of educational programs and roundtable discussions with the pros, students will gain further knowledge about the advertising field and its hottest new ideas and trends. Ad Pros also awards an annual scholarship. For more information and an application, contact Club President Jennifer Simpson at jen@learfield.com. Creative shapes the image of Ad Pros. This group is responsible for the design and production of all promotional materials, direct mail pieces, special programs and invitations. This committee lets "creatives" develop a project from the initial brainstorming sessions to the finished piece, allowing members to build impressive portfolios. ADDYs® are the Club’s premier event of the year. This committee conducts the ADDY Award competition, which requires promotion, judging, publishing of the winner’s book and organizing the awards event. Committee meets August through March. AdMania, the Club’s annual trivia night, is one of the largest in the country and is the club’s most successful and important event. This committee coordinates the event designed to raise money for the operating budget of the club. To serve on this committee, contact Adam Roorda at adam@mcadvantages.com.
Communications maintains and updates adprosdsm.com and Ad Pros information on the 9th District AAF site. In addition, this team produces the monthly newsletter and notices to members. Public Relations serves as a direct link between Ad Pros and the local media. This committee submits and monitors press releases promoting all events, as well as achievements of the club and its members. The committee also works toward promoting the prestige of the club in the community to increase membership and solicit attendance at events.
